Through Gallaway's Early Talent Programme, we engage with students from Primary to University level through a variety of activities ranging from introductory STEM sessions, school engagements (careers fairs, speed networking events, etc), site visits, work experience placements for T-level & University students and our graduate recruitment programme.
In 2025, we engaged with over 500 students through stem sessions, provided over 1000 hours of training to students and recruited 2 graduates to our team.
In addition to our Early Talent Programme, we also have a not-for-profit organisation called Construction For Women, which seeks to reduce the gender disparity in the industry & engages with young girls through Construction for Girls.
Through our programme we offer placements to T-level & University students, these placements may be short or long-term.
Typically, placement students will have the opportunity to work both on-site and in office depending on the type of placement & role they are fulfilling. Students will learn hands-on from our experienced team and participate in our internal team training.
In 2025, we provided over 1000 hours of training to students and recruited 2 graduates to our team.

The Royal Navy is unlike any civilian organisation. We work on a truly global scale, so this is your opportunity to choose an apprenticeship where you’ll get paid to travel the world. You’ll meet new people, learn a trade, and experience things you never imagined – from diving in the Indian Ocean, to Antarctic research operations.
Your apprenticeship begins after basic training, or during if you’re joining the Royal Marines. The course is a mix of theory and work-based learning, with a few formal interviews and practical assessments along the way. You’ll be expected to complete a Career Development Journal as you progress.
Your time will roughly be split at 20% learning and 80% working, which means you’ll be an important member of the team from day one, gaining new skills at the same time as developing your knowledge.

We run a very successful pre employment programme, where we recruit solely Nursing assistants and Medical lab assistants through the programme
We deliver the pre employment programme in partnership with the Manchester College, where successful candidates will go to the college for 5 weeks and gain a level 1 Health and social care qualification, then they will complete a 5 week work placement where they will learn either the role of a nursing assistant or Medical lab assistant. we then contact their managers after placement and ask how they got on, if they did well and the manager has a vacancy for them, we can move the candidate into that vacancy so they can start as soon as possible. if they were not successful on placement, we refer them back to the DWP for further support.
